WITB: What’s in Hideki Matsuyama’s bag?

Hideki Matsuyama is one of the form players in the world and is signed by the same equipment brand as Brooks Koepka and Shane Lowry, Srixon. But what clubs are in his bag?

Along with Koepka and Lowry, Matsuyama is a major champion, with his biggest win so far coming back in 2021 at Augusta National.

Matsuyama has come into a run of form recently, and with a win to his name already in 2024, he’s looking good going into the Masters. With three top ten finishes and a win at The Genisis Invitational, he could be dangerous at Augusta National. 

His driving and putting stats haven’t been the strongest this year but his iron play and short game is definitely a standout, which is what you need to stay in the hunt at Augusta.

Matsuyama has hit 70% of greens in regulation on the PGA Tour this year, a stat which we know is important heading to the Masters. Couple that with scrambling numbers that are in the top 20, and the Japanese player looks in fine form at the start of 2024.
