Genesis Scottish Open full prize money payout and winner’s share

Rory McIlroy is $1,620,000 better off after winning the Genesis Scottish Open. 

The four-time major champ secured his 24th PGA Tour title – tying Gary Player and Dustin Johnson on the all-time wins list – with a hard-fought victory at The Renaissance Club in East Lothian.  

In doing so, he became the first player to win The Open, Scottish Open and Irish Open, and jumped from third to second on the Official World Golf Ranking.

The effect the win has had on his bank balance won’t go unnoticed either.

The total purse was up $1million on last year’s bounty and was three times more than the money on offer at Castle Stuart Golf Links in 2011, since when the tournament has visited links courses exclusively.
