One thing can be assured by the time the final major of the men’s calendar comes around, and that is a world-class spectator experience watching the hunt for the Claret Jug.

The Open Championship has become synonymous with hosting a global audience to its fabled courses across the UK, and now is the time to punch your ticket to Royal Troon.

Such is the demand for tickets that the R&A was forced to bring in a ballet for the 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews in 2022, and that ticket allocation isn’t going anywhere.

• Where will The Open be played in 2024?

A record-breaking 290,000 fans gathered on the Old Course that week, while 260,000 spectators will descend on Royal Liverpool this July, the most of any Open in England.

So, as the countdown to the countdown begins, this is how you can grab a ticket for the Open Championship and see who is crowned the 2024 Champion Golfer of the Year.

The Open Championship 2024 tickets

As ever, the R&A expects a high level of demand as the championship returns to the famous Ayrshire links from July 14-21.

The ticket ballot for next year’s championship opened on Tuesday, June 27 and will close this Tuesday, July 25.

Registration is free, but that is on the basis that fans have signed up for The One Club, a membership programme that offers exclusive access to the Open Championship ballot.

Fans will be glad to hear that ticket prices have been frozen at their current rates, meaning an adult ticket on Championship days will start from £95.

Practice Days will be far kinder on the wallet, starting at just £25 to follow the action live on
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

• What courses are on The Open rota?

The R&A’s long-running ‘Kids Go Free’ programme ensures children can attend the Open Championship for free, while those aged 16-24 can buy half-price youth tickets.

Elevated experiences can be purchased now, though, offering fans a guaranteed ticket in the form of a new ‘Ticket Plus’ option or a range of hospitality experiences.
