The Players Championship: Preview, betting tips & how to watch

We’re off to TPC Sawgrass for the PGA Tour’s flagship event, the Players Championship.  

Outside of the majors, this is probably the biggest event on the circuit, so it’s going to be all eyes on Florida for the week. 

It comes off the back of one of the most exciting tournaments of the season so far at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Kurt Kitayama held off what felt like the entire field over the final round at Bay Hill. He’s set to tee it up again this week.

It’ll be another very strong field, however it won’t include the top three finishers from last year, with Cameron Smith, Anirban Lahiri and Paul Casey all now playing the LIV Golf League. 

The course will be another big talking point this week. TPC Sawgrass of course features the signature 17th hole, but the holes that come before and after it are likely to cause just as much drama. The par-5 16th and the tough par-4 18th both also feature water, and have provided plenty of drama down the years.
