Who is Ian Poulter’s wife?

If you watched Netflix’s Full Swing, then you will have noticed Ian Poulter’s wife.

Before that, she could be spotted regularly at golf tournaments including the Ryder Cup, as Poulter established himself as one of Europe’s top players.

Now on LIV Golf, the Englishman is not on our TV screens as much, but there has been no change to the support he receives on and off the course.

Katie Poulter is the Hertfordshire-born golfer’s wife, and the pair met in 1995, when she was a nurse.

In 2007, the pair tied the knot at Woburn Abbey after dating for 12 years. The day at the country house in Bedfordshire clashed with the Seve Trophy.

Poulter joked: “I’ve kept Katie waiting for ten years, so I had better not say I can’t make it on the day we’ve agreed because a golf tournament has come up.”

The couple now spend most of their time living in a gated community in Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando, Florida.

They also have a property near Milton Keynes in the UK, while they live with their four children Aimee-Leigh, Luke, Joshua and Lily-Mai.

Luke is the most familiar name to golf fans, as Poulter’s son has begun to make a name for himself as a professional golfer.

As well as accompanying his dad to tournaments throughout his career, Luke plays golf at the University of Florida.

He has also made his pro debut, as an amateur, playing in the 2023 International Series England, an Asian Tour event.

Pictures of the Poulter’s mainly feature his wife, though, as they have been spotted at many events throughout the years.

Wimbledon has been one of the sporting events the pair have enjoyed attending, while Katie was a regular at the likes of the Ryder Cup.

And Ian, who was friends with Arnold Palmer before the American passed away, shared a story involving his wife.

He said that Katie once spent a $100 bill that was signed by the golf legend.

“He signed a $100 bill which my wife actually spent one time; I had to get another one done,” Poulter explained.

“It was in the safe. She didn’t realize it was actually signed by Arnie, so it’s out there somewhere.

“I have no idea what she did with it. Not a clue. It was probably in Publix to be honest. She probably went to get some groceries.”
