Palmares Golf unveils new signature stay-and-play packages

The ‘jewel in the crown of the Algarve’, Palmares Golf, has unveiled a range of stay-and-play breaks to mark the opening of its new stunning apartments.

The Portuguese resort has opened 37 state-of-the-art properties to enhance the existing experience on offer at the 27-hole award-winning venue.

Golfers can now take advantage of the packages, which range from three nights with two rounds of golf to a week-long break, including five days of unlimited golf.

Located near Lagos, in the Southern Algarve region, the golf course has been ranked as the third best in Portugal, with prices starting from around €288 per person.

Palmares boasts three loops of nine holes over a combination of links and parkland-styled holes, offering stunning views as the course trails along the Atlantic coast.

It was redesigned to pick up that setup by Robert Trent Jones Junior in 2008, and since then has become renowned as one of Europe’s great golf courses.

Marco Andrade, Operations and Golf Director at Palmares Ocean Links & Golf, has shared how promising the packages are shaping up to be.

He said: “The opening of our signature apartments here at Palmares is a massive occasion for all the team and indicates just how far we have come over the last few years as one of Portugal and Europe’s must-visit golf destinations.

“The apartments allow us to offer a wider range of packages for those looking to visit the resort and we’re super excited to begin welcoming visitors.”

The unique layout, which sweeps down towards the ocean, can be played in several different sequences across its Alvor, Lagos, and Praia loops on the doorstep of the suites.

Owned and operated by Kronos Homes, the increased array of accommodation options features a combination of one or two bedrooms.

Palmares offers more than just visiting apartments, though, as plots for bespoke holiday homes are also available to buy.
