Furyk made his Masters debut in 1996 and only twice has he missed the tournament since. Both of those occasions – in 2004 and 2016 – were due to a wrist injury. There are no ailments this time for the 2003 US Open champion, whose best finish at The Masters was fourth in 1998 and 2003. But with the Ryder Cup approaching, there are other more pressing issues in Furyk’s mind than teeing it up at Augusta.
