We seem to be mentioning the Englishman every week at the moment – but for good reason. He hasn’t missed a cut on either the PGA Tour or European Tour all season and followed up his win at the Fort Worth Invitational three weeks ago with a T6 finish at the Memorial Tournament. Rose meets the Shinnecock Hills requirement of being long off the tee and described his performance at Colonial as the ‘best ball-striking of his career’. The only question hangs over his putting, which is what prevented him getting in the mix at the Masters back in April.
