Puma Golf x Arnold Palmer collection review

When you think of golf royalty, one name that springs to mind is Arnold Palmer. Known as much for his charisma, presidential friendships, love of aviation, and tasteful clothes, as his hall of fame status, nobody embodies the “star,” persona more than Arnie himself. To celebrate his legacy, Puma Golf has again partnered with the AP brand to create the latest Puma Golf x Arnold Palmer Collection.

First Look

Embodying the classic colour way of the Arnold Palmer logo, the Puma shoes definitely stand out with a fun and vibrant, yet classic look. The apparel sticks to more of a traditional look with blues and pinks in the polo shirts, but we see a variety of patterns and options to choose from.

Rickie Fowler had a fond relationship with the late Arnold Palmer and will compete in the collection at The Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill to honour The King’s legacy. If it’s good enough for him, it’s good enough for me. Overall, the apparel looks good, but I absolutely love the colours in the shoes. Well done, Puma.

The Tech

This 2024 Spring/Summer Puma Golf x Arnold Palmer collection is comprised of seven polos, one full zip jacket, pleated shorts, three different golf caps, one golf visor and four limited-edition footwear styles. The umbrella logos celebrate Palmer’s legacy, making the LE shoes stand out in a unique way from in-line models. The LE footwear styles are highlighted by the Phantomcat Nitro version, which is most technical and the Avant version, which is most refined with details like premium full grain waterproof leather and a sophisticated colour scheme.

“We love working with the Arnold Palmer team to develop items for the AP Collection. The goal is always to capture the essence of Mr. Palmer’s style with his classic colour palette and premium materials. Each item in the new Puma Golf x Arnold Palmer Collection, including apparel, shoes, and accessories, possess design qualities that we feel Mr. Palmer would be happy to wear himself.” said Chris MacNeill, Team Head, PLM – Golf Apparel & Accessories, Puma Golf.

The bunkered Verdict

If you’re looking to freshen up your wardrobe with smart traditional looks, fresh colours and different pattern options, then you can’t go wrong with Puma. This range in particular is something we really love the look of. From polo shirts to shoes there are some really cool pieces to choose from.

From what I can see the footwear options are really cool and the apparel options look superb. I’ve worn plenty Puma gear in the past, so I know how comfortable both the apparel and shoes are. I can’t wait to try this new collection out so stay tuned for a more in-depth review coming soon.
