Say hello to the new TaylorMade Spider Tour putters.

The latest Spider range includes five unique models, each with higher MOI than ever as well as the brand’s renowned technologies such as True Path Alignment, Pure Roll, and TSS weighting.

Each Spider Tour Series putter uses a multi-material construction to optimise weight distribution. The new designs feature superstructures that retain that classic Spider Tour shape while a thin wall undercuts to eliminate unnecessary weight. A steel wireframe construction further enhances weight control and CG, offering a wide array of options to cater to various putting styles.

TaylorMade has also put the “HYBRAR Echo Damper” from its Stealth irons range into the Spider Tour Series putters. This is positioned directly behind the face to dampen unwanted vibrations when striking the ball so every putt sounds and feels good.

The Spider Tour Series continues with the Pure Roll insert, first celebrated with the original Spider X putter. Moulded from Surlyn material, this insert ensures a soft yet responsive feel, with grooves angled 45 degrees downward to enhance topspin and deliver a consistent end-over-end roll.

As for aesthetics, the gunmetal finish not only looks the part but enhances durability thanks to what the brand calls “PVD” – or “Physical Vapour Deposition”. In layman’s terms, this is a coating that creates a robust barrier against the rigors of regular use and exposure to environmental elements.

“Spider putters have long been synonymous with stability, translating to high-MOI performance,” Brian Bazzel, TaylorMade’s vice-president of product creation, said. “The unconventional shape creates a stable platform, preserving ball speed on mishits and delivering a consistent roll across the face.

“Our new Spider Tour Series maintains our iconic technological features, while also delivering a range of shapes and CG locations to match a variety of putting styles.”

The classic Spider Tour shape boasts enhanced materials, a fresh colour scheme, and refined weight distribution. With a CG location of 35mm from the face, 5,700 MOI, and 29 degrees of toe hang, it outperforms its predecessor by more than 700 MOI.

Spider Tour S

This larger version of the Spider Tour has a head that’s 3mm longer and 8mm wider. Offered in heavier head weights and 35-inch and 38-inch lengths, it features counterbalance grips for maximum stability. The Spider Tour S has a CG location of 38mm from the face, 6,063 MOI, and is face balanced. It will be available in Spring 2024.

Spider Tour V
