2016 11 Dangerous Carbrook

13. Carbrook GC, Australia

This may sound like fiction, but it’s 100% true. The water hazards of this Aussie course near Brisbane are patrolled by half-a-dozen man-eating bull sharks, which arrived on the course after a nearby river burst its banks years ago. The notorious beasts have become a major tourist attraction and visiting golfers can get as close to 6ft from the sharks, which can grow to 11ft in length. Fins can even be seen breaking the water’s surface.
