The 2011 Masters champion has 11 European Tour wins to his name. Four of them have come at this tournament, including victory in three of the last five stagings. The 34-year-old admitted he’d been ‘low on confidence’ ahead of the South African Open after a disappointing year but a third-placed finish – including an eight-under-par 63 in the second round – is likely to have done him the world of good ahead of an event, and course, that he loves.
