The season-ender on the LPGA Tour saw the best golfers in the world head to Florida for the CME Group Tour Championship.

Amy Yang became the oldest winner on tour this season by scooping the $2 million first prize at Tiburon Golf Club.

It tied the record for for the largest single payday in women’s golf history, with the 2023 U.S. Open.

The South Korean star earned her fifth LPGA Tour win after going into the final round as co-leader, as a hole-out eagle on the 13th catapulted her into the lead before winning the event by three.

Despite the mouth-watering payout, Yang was not thinking about the money on the table. She said:

“No, actually, not the purse. I was just more concerned about can I really make it this time.

“You know, I doubted for a while. I doubted a little bit that if I can make it, if I can make the first place.

“But I try to stay calm and just stay focused every hole and every shot, just so happy how I did it.”

World number one Lillia Vu finished fourth to cap a remarkable season, while Nelly Korda had a moment to remember during the third round.

Korda landed the second ace of her career with a hole-in-one on the par-3 eighth. It was the 20th ace of the LPGA Tour season.
