The US Ryder Cup team has decided to ban Netflix documentary makers from their team room at the upcoming Ryder Cup in Rome.
Producers of the popular ‘Full Swing’ series had been hoping to film behind-the-scenes at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club but have seen those plans scuppered.
US captain Zach Johnson revealed that his 12-man team voted unanimously to keep the cameras out.

“It was one of those where we all gathered,” Johnson told the Associated Press. “I talked to every individual and laid out scenarios.
“They all felt like it was best to navigate that week of the tournament in a manner which the sanctity and sacredness of Team USA is preserved. We’re eliminating scenarios.”
Justin Thomas, who featured prominently in the first season of ‘Full Swing’ which aired on Netflix earlier this year, added: “I just think there was maybe a couple of people a little skeptical, and it really was not even a conversation.
“We’re all a team that week. All 12 were on board, so it doesn’t really matter.”
Netflix has so far declined to comment 0n the matter but the news is sure to come as a blow to the brains behind ‘Full Swing’ as they build towards an early-2024 release of season two.
Earlier this month, the full impact of the season one was laid bare.
