The first of five rookies to quality automatically for the US team, Nelly Korda has had a rapid rise. The 21-year-old recently passed Thompson as the highest-ranked American in women’s golf, when she reached sixth, but currently sits in tenth spot. One stat jumps out above all else: she’s ranked third in greens in regulation, on the LPGA and, for a large part of the season, she was ranked No.1.
