The 2023 season is over and fans are looking ahead to another tantalising year of major championship golf in 2024.
It all kicks off at the Masters, with Jon Rahm looking to defend his crown in his first major since his seismic move to LIV Golf.
Just a week later, the Chevron Championship opens up the women’s major calendar in Texas, with fans able to feast on nine major tournaments over a four-month stretch in 2024.

Men’s majors
All eyes will be on Rahm at Augusta as he looks to win a second green jacket. Rory McIlroy, meanwhile, will face familiar pressures as he enters his tenth year without winning a major tournament. If he doesn’t win at Augusta, he’ll also have the chance to end his drought in the PGA Championship at Valhalla, where he last won a major in 2014.

Women’s majors
Lilia Vu will look to re-assert her dominance in the game’s most eminent events after a magical year in 2023. The American superbly fought off a valiant challenge from Charley Hull at Walton Heath to end the major season on a high with victory at the AIG Women’s Open last August. Before that came her first major victory at the Chevron Championship.
The highlight of this major calendar is undoubtedly a return to the Old Course, where the Women’s Open will be held for the first time since 2013.
