Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson has had plenty of success on the golf course, but who is his wife?

The 12-time PGA Tour winner is married to fellow American Kim Barclay.

Johnson has called on her support since he joined the PGA Tour, and the couple have an interesting backstory.

While living in the same apartment complex in Florida in 2000, Johnson met his wife in the car park, and the pair began dating.

Who is Zach Johnson’s wife?

Having turned professional in 1998, Zach Johnson has become a two-time major champion, and got married to his wife in 2003.

The couple tied the knot in February at Amelia Baptist Church in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Zach Johnson was raised a catholic, but before marrying his wife he decided to join her church.

Zach Johnson’s wife studied at Stetson University and graduated with a degree in sociology.

Barclay worked in social services prior to meeting Johnson, so she left her job to support the American on his PGA Tour travels.

A year after marrying his wife, Johnson claimed his first PGA Tour win in 2004, and became a major champion three years later.

The 2023 US Ryder Cup captain put on the green jacket in 2007 after winning the Masters, and the couple’s first child, Will, was born three months later.

The pair have one other son, Wyatt, and a daughter called Abby Jane, who was born in 2012. Having previously lived in Lake Mary in Florida, the family now reside in St. Simons, Georgia.

As well as winning the Open Championship in 2015 at St Andrews, Johnson and his wife have set up the Zach Johnson foundation.

It focuses on helping children and families improve their quality of life and education in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The couple raised $700,000 with one program, which was created for community agencies serving children in need.
