Are you struggling to keep your ball under control off the tee? If so, it’s time you checked out the best low-spin drivers of 2023.

If you find that your tee shots are ballooning up in the air, then a low-spinning driver can dramatically reduce those spin rates delivering a more penetrating ball flight. For low handicappers, this can give them much better results on the golf course.

Best low-spin drivers 2023

To help you pick the right option, we’ve compiled a list of eight that will suit you.

Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond

The Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond driver is aimed at high-level golfers who want to shape the ball.

It’s the lowest-spinning and lowest-launching Paradym model from Callaway. With a new AI jailbreak and AI face design, this driver has a compact, 450cc head, so it’s slightly smaller than most drivers on the market. This driver has a 14gram back weight, which can be positioned in the front of the head for even lower spin.

This club is brilliant for those who want a low-launching, low-spinning driver, as well as a player who wants to be able to move the ball with a draw or a fade.

Cobra Aerojet LS

The Cobra Aerojet LS is Cobra’s fastest driver ever, so if you want pure speed, then this is the club for you. But, it still holds plenty of forgiveness.

The Cobra Aerojet LS driver has a new AI H.O.T face design which is forgiving on mishits and keeps spin low. The PWR shell face insert and PWR Bridge weighting supports the face when flexing delivering explosive ball speeds across the face. The new aerodynamic design reduces drag, helping to deliver faster club head speed. The crown and chassis are a raw carbon finish which has allowed engineers to place weight in the right places to deliver their lowest spinning option.

The Cobra Aerojet LS is a fantastic option if you want a low-spinning driver that still produces forgiveness.

Mizuno ST-Z 230

You might associate Mizuno with their range of irons and wedges, but their 2023 driver is a great option.

The Mizuno ST-Z 230 features a Cortech Chamber, which they say is the ‘missing piece’ of the puzzle in their drivers. This is a stainless-steel plate encased in a TPU cover located behind the face, making the Mizuno ST-Z 230 a great option for those wanting a low-spinning driver. With the weight forward it lowers spin and creates a more solid feel and sound at impact.

If you’re looking for a driver that looks great and performs well too, this is an excellent option.

Ping are rightly known for their all-round quality when it comes to equipment, particularly woods, and the G430 LST driver is no different.

The Ping G430 LST stands out thanks to the turbulators on the crown. These might not be to everyone’s taste in terms of looks, but they help with aerodynamics. The new 440cc head design allows weight to be saved and moved to improve CG, increase MOI and boost overall performance. The newly optimised forged T9S face features Spinsistency, combining for lower spinning and longer drives. The 22g adjustable weight can be moved into neutral, draw or fade bias to fit your desired shot shape, all while producing low spin.

If you like a driver that looks clean and performs exceptionally well on the golf course, you’ll like this. Ping say this driver flies seven yards further than their previous model and we found that to be true in testing. Definitely one of the best low-spinning drivers of 2023.

RRP: £575

The Srixon ZX5 MK II LS driver features Srixon’s new and improved Rebound Frame, making it a great option for those looking for a low-spinning driver. Its Dual Flex Zones focus more energy into the golf ball at impact, which increases distance. The variable face thickness has unique ridges to improve forgiveness across the clubface with adjustable forward placed weight on the sole keeping spin low and ball speed high.

Srixon drivers are ideal for players who like a straightforward looking club that will perform at the highest level.

It’s the lowest spinning option out of the Stealth 2 range, making it a great option for those who want a low-spinning driver in 2023. The sliding weight track on the sole includes a single 15g weight that can be positioned for your preferred shot shape, whilst keeping your spin down. Also, the red face is slightly brighter than the original Stealth, so if you like a bright looking club, you’ll love this.
