A commanding performance saw Brian Harman lift the Claret Jug this weekend, here’s the clubs that he used to do it.

Harman eventually clinched the Open, his first major championship, by six shots, and despite a stacked leaderboard behind him, he kept them all at bay with an imperious performance.

That was done with a bag that includes 13 Titleist clubs, as well as a seven-year-old TaylorMade putter that has caught the imagination of everyone watching on this week.

• 10 things Brian Harman gets for winning The Open

That putter, which helped the 36-year-old to lead the Strokes Gained: Putting stat, is a TaylorMade Spider OS counter balance, a model which has been around since 2016.

The huge putterhead is designed with stability and forgiveness in mind, and it’s a face balanced putter. The putter is also counter balanced, meaning it’s well weighted in the grip to aid feel, something that certainly worked for Harman on long putts.

• The weird and wonderful golf fans of The Open

Over the week, he faced 59 putts from inside ten feet and made 58 of them. That’s right, he only missed once from inside ten feet over the tournament. We can expect to see that club stay in Harman’s bag for a long, long time.

Further up the set-up, the left-hander has a Titleist TSi2 driver, which was reliable throughout the week. Although he’s not the longest hitter in the game, far from it in fact, Harman was certainly able to find fairways, ranking 11th in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee over the week at Hoylake.

Brian Harman’s 3-wood is an older model too, as he’s gaming the Titleist TS2, with a strong loft of 13.5°.

Harman’s irons are a combo set, as he has the Titleist U500 in his three, four and five irons, while he has the Titleist 620 CB irons in his six iron to pitching wedge.

There’s no surprises with his wedges, which helped get him up and down so often around the greens of Royal Liverpool, as he has three Titleist Vokey SM9s, in 50°, 54° and 60°.

Here’s the full rundown on the clubs used by this year’s Champion Golfer of the Year.
