Rickie Fowler has been present at the last three consecutive Ryder Cup’s, but he is in serious danger of watching the 43rd edition of the tournament from the couch. The American has struggled for any form this season, posting just a single top-10 on the PGA Tour and falling outside the Official World Golf Ranking’s top-100 for the first time since 2010. With it looking like an impossibility that the 32-year-old will be able to qualify automatically, he will be relying upon a captain’s pick from Steve Stricker to make it four Ryder Cups on the spin. With the five-time PGA Tour winner missing out on the Masters and US Open for the first time since 2010, things are looking bleak for Fowler.
