Matt Kuchar has been involved at every Ryder Cup since 2010, even though his 2018 stint was as a non-playing vice-captain. However, this time round, it looks as if ‘Kuch’ could be sitting it out. The 43-year-old has seen a decline in his game this year, already having missed his most cuts in a PGA Tour season since 2008, and looks like an automatic qualifying spot is off the cards. He will need to convince Steve Stricker that he’s worth a captain’s pick if he wants to tee it up at Whistling Straits, but with the number of world-class talent Team USA has at its disposal, that’s looking just as unlikely. It looks like Kuchar could have played in his last Ryder Cup.
