Jason Day held his nerve at the weekend to capture the Arnold Palmer Invitational title and he did so with some of last year’s technology in the bag.
Day used his trusty TaylorMade AeroBurner TP 3HL off the tee numerous times throughout the week and it has been in his bag from the start of last year. To be honest, we’re surprised he doesn’t have the M2 ‘UnFairway’ in his bag given his reaction here.
Also in the world No.2’s bag was a TaylorMade M1 460 10.5˚ that has been adjusted to 9.5˚, as well as RSi TP irons (3-PW). His trusty TaylorMade Ghost Spider IB Black Prototype putter proved the clincher, though, as he holed this lengthy putt on 17 on Sunday to take a one-shot lead to the 18th.
Big moment. Big putt. Never a doubt.#QuickHits https://t.co/y4o6stw0re

Chappell moves to Flex
Chappell finished runner up for the second time so far this season as he bogeyed the 18th to finish one shot behind eventual winner Jason Day and it appears his driver switch is doing the trick.
On his last outing at the Northern Trust Open in February, Chappell had been using a Nike Vapor Fly Pro driver, but turned up at Bay Hill with a Nike Vapor Flex 440.
Chappell has averaged 298.5 yards off the tee so far this year but saw that increase to 301 yards, becoming one of the ever increasing number of PGA Tour pros smashing it over 300 yards from the tee.

Merritt’s short game on point
It’s safe to say it was a bit of an unorthodox run at the title from Troy Merritt.
Having put himself right in the mix with five birdies in a row from the 10th, Merritt was hanging in there all the way with his impressive wedge and bunker play. He was using the new Wilson Staff PMP wedges, and it looks like he has them dialled in.

Horschel to turn heads at Augusta
Last week, PXG announced the release of its new DLC finish on its 0311 irons and wedges and it looks like Billy Horschel is a big fan.
The 2014 FedEx Cup champ, who signed with the brand at the start of this year, is planning on putting the black finish wedges in play for his trip down Magnolia Lane and hinted he may even have to put the irons in play, too.
Lovin the black finish! Black finish wedges go in bag at Masters. Might have to put irons in play as well. #PXG pic.twitter.com/KF5HPnN0DN

It’s all about the ‘B’
They may have pulled out of the UK and Ireland market, but Brandt Snedeker has been good enough to give us a look at the new B330 golf ball.
The bulky ‘Bridgestone Golf’ logo of the past and, as you can see, it has been replaced by a large ‘B’. It also features a new technology that gives more spin on short shots as well as increasing the durability of the cover.
So pumped for the new logo on my B330!! #slick @bridgestonegolf pic.twitter.com/oIVEDE7VuR
