How many times does it have to be said? You can’t film on championship days during golf tournaments.
But, if you look around, there always seems to be plenty of spectators trying their best to ignore the rules – and one guy was caught out in painful fashion at the AT&T Byron Nelson.
Picked up by Golf News Net, Bud Cauley missed the ninth green at TPC Four Seasons with his ball landing in some thick rough. A fan decided it was wise to film the American – which is, of course, not permitted – and after taking his time to assess the situation, he eventually punched his ball out and hit the spectator in the chest.

Ouch! Cauley went on to record a double-bogey six on the hole and finished tied for fourth and, who knows, that spectator could’ve been the difference from him making $423,400 for finishing T3 alongside Matt Kuchar, and the six-way tie for fourth that paid him $264,625.
