7. Tom Lehman (1999)
Lehman only played in three matches at Brookline, but fully played his part as USA launched an inspired final day comeback. USA trailed 10-6 heading into Sunday but Lehman, playing in the lead match against Lee Westwood, beat the Englishman 3&2, closing the gap to two points after Davis Love III had beaten Jean van de Velde 6&5. The Americans went on to win 14.5-13.5.Record: 2-1-0.
