Looking for a shoe that delivers incredible stability, comfort, in a lightweight and breathable design? Then you’ll want to check out the PAYNTR X 004 RS Spiked shoe.

Choosing golf shoes can be an overwhelming job with the number of options available to us. I’ve have had my fair share of shoes in the past and I recently got my hands on the PAYNTR X 004 RS and, honestly, this is a must-try.

I’m quite picky when it comes to shoes. I want something that is comfortable, solid, stable and quite responsive so I can get the most out of it, which is exactly what you get with the PAYNTR X 004 RS.

We all have to like what we wear and from a fashion stand point these look really smart in the black and white finish. They have the perforations on the side which allows your feet to regulate heat. Also, I’m a fan of the black moulded heel, a nice touch.

The thing I liked straight away was not only how light and comfortable they are, but how easy they are to slip on. They have a three-dimensional moulded PMX which essentially hugs the back of the foot around your heel. This is really comfortable and supportive.

• Review: Shot Scope G5

When walking the course, they are light, airy and if you get caught in a shower, they are water resistant keeping your feet dry.

They look good and feel good- but how do they perform?

When hitting driver they felt so solid and stable, which for me is a big plus. I didn’t lose any energy or speed, if anything I felt like I was able to use the ground more effectively.

This is a large part of the reason these shoes are becoming so popular on the world long drive scene.

• How do the new TaylorMade P790 irons perform?

This stability comes from the carbon propulsion plate which sits on the sole of your foot, delivering maximum responsiveness and speed through impact.

The traction on the sole of these is superb. I felt like I was stuck firmly to the ground, something which definitely helped me put a consistent swing on the ball. This is made possible by a couple of factors. The FastTwist insertion system, the traction design on the sole and the addition of the Softspikes Tour Flex Pro spikes.

This the first shoe on the market to feature the Tour Flex Pro Softspikes, but I have to say the combination with the traction control makes it very consistent in performance.

Overall, I’m a big fan. I really like what they’ve done with the PAYNTR X 004 RS spiked shoe.

These looks great, they’re very comfortable, and the technical aspect of the carbon plating on the sole combined with traction control design and Tour Flex Pro soft spikes makes these great performers. You feel rooted to the ground when swinging, which fills you with confidence on each swing. This is a brilliant offering from PAYNTR.
