McIlroy will be among the favourites in the field to win on the iconic Wirral links for a second time, with Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm also fancied to end the major season in style.

The broadcaster will show the live action throughout the opening two days, with coverage starting slightly later following the cut over the weekend.
The BBC, which gave up its live coverage rights in 2015, is set to show highlights of the showpiece tournament.
