Are these players the future of the US Ryder Cup team?

Patrick Cantlay

Patrick Cantlay

After being plagued by a problematic back injury coupled with the mental trauma from witnessing the death of his caddie Chris Roth to a hit-and-run in California in 2016, Cantlay has started to show his prodigious potential over the past two years. He won his maiden PGA Tour title at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in November 2017, part of a 2018 season that saw him record seven top tens and finish 20th in the FedEx Cup. It wasn’t enough to get on that plane to Paris but you’d fancy him to be part of Team USA at Whistling Straits in two years’ time.
