Forgiveness! It's something that every golfer craves. Even the best players in the world want a club that will get them in the fairway when they don't hit the middle. So, what are the best forgiving drivers that golf brands have to offer in 2025?
If you find that you’re not getting the distance or carry you desire, or you’re simply not hitting fairways, it often comes down to inconsistent ball striking. A great thing about a high-MOI driver is that with forgiveness comes consistency, and with consistency comes control.
As you might know, many brands are now launching drivers that are aimed at golfers with particularly slower swing speeds. We won't be covering them here, instead we're going to give them their own buying guide, so look out for that in the near future. Instead, we're going to look at models that cater to solid swing speeds, but perhaps golfers that don't always find the middle of the face.
So which one should you play? Don't worry, we've done the hard work for you. From Callaway to Wilson via TaylorMade and Ping, you'll find something for everyone in this buying guide...
Best forgiving drivers 2025

PROS
- A slight draw bias will straighten out a 'power fade'
- Thermoforged Carbon Crown helps to unlock new speed and distance
- Large profile is confidence inspiring at address
CONS
- The green details won't suit everyone's taste
A new look design from Callaway in 2025 and as you would expect, there's loads of new tech in here. Most importantly, there's a nice large sweetspot and anti-slice tech that can help you find the short grass more often.
For golfers in the UK, there's three options in the Elyte range. The Triple Diamond caters to advanced players with the Elyte aimed at giving a mix of performance and forgiveness. If you want the most friendly option, however, the Elyte X is what you want in your bag. At the heart of the technology in this driver is the Ai10x Face. This tech helps to deliver ten times more forgiveness on mishits, so if you're someone who tends to live away from the middle of the face, this will help you out. There's also new aerodynamic shaping to get you swinging it faster on the tee.
A very strong start to proceedings from Callaway with this driver. This will be one of the most popular ranges of 2025 and if you want to use it but need something super forgiving, you'll love this.

PROS
- 10K MOI, as we know, helps find fairways
- A new look face design helps to set the ball up in the middle of the face
- FutureFit33 hosel is impressive tech that gives endless possibility
CONS
- You might prefer a draw bias option, which Cobra does also offer, but this can all be tweaked with the hosel
If you’re a Cobra fan looking for an incredibly forgiving driver, then this is the one for you. The DS-Adapt range is the second iteration of the Darkspeed line and there's some exciting new innovation to get stuck into. Let's take a closer look.
Only one place to start in this range and that comes in the FutureFit33 hosel. As you'll see, there's two cogs in this hosel and there's good reason for that. This innovation allows golfers to decouple loft and lie in their head, which means that they can adjust both the shape of shot they hit and the height they hit the ball, without interfering with the other. But, in this particular model, you're going to enjoy the huge levels of forgiveness the Max-K gives you. This driver has 10K MOI, something you'll have heard a lot about over the last year. In broad terms, that makes for a hugely forgiving club.
This is a range of drivers that offers incredible adjustability. Couple - or decouple - that with impressive speed and forgiveness and you've got a very attractive prospect.

PROS
- An incredibly stable and forgiving driver
- New and improved CarbonFly wrap increases MOI
- New Free Hosel design has saved weight to help lower centre of gravity in the clubhead
- Hard to fault when it comes to forgiveness
CONS
- The Turbulators are still on the crown, but they are refined this year
We all know that Ping drivers are some of the most forgiving and stable clubs on the market, so it's no surprise that the new G440 range features in this buying guide.
This is a range that features three different heads, but the Max is going to suit most golfers, particularly those who want forgiveness across the face. There is a low spin option, which is still very forgiving, as well as an SFT head, which will help straighten out a slice. If you struggle off the tee, can’t find the middle of the face, or want more distance and straighter drives then the Max is the model you need. While this maintains incredible forgiveness, this driver also features a thinner and faster face, which helps to generate speed and distance. A new Free Hosel design saves weight to lower centre of gravity and the new CarbonFly Wrap boosts forgiveness, too.
Tour players will use this driver and so will amateurs in need of help from the tee. If you need a helping hand, you'll love it.

PROS
- A lovely looking driver
- Designed with a high and booming ball flight in mind
- AMF face delivers super-fast ball speeds especially on mishits
CONS
- Other brands are making big strides in 2025
A 2024 model that is still very forgiving comes from PXG in the form of the Black Ops driver. A club that offers high and straight launch is certainly an appealing one for golfers looking for that extra help from the tee.
This driver head uses 'Advanced Material Face' technology to increase ball speed for more distance. This design, nicknamed AMF, helps to increase bulge and roll and get your mishits moving in the right direction on the course. Optimal launch and forgiveness helps you to find more fairways and the carbon composite crown looks good while doing it. With PXG, you'll get one of the best fitting services available, and in this process you can adjust the weighting on your driver to deliver very high MOI and more forgiveness.
Although this might be a 2024 model, the PXG Black Ops will still deliver fantastic levels of forgiveness.

PROS
- New look from Srixon is the real deal
- New i-Flex design delivers top class looks and feel
- Weight is distributed low and further back in this club to deliver great levels of MOI
CONS
- We found there to be more forgiving options out there
Srixon has always had a following of tour pros and we wouldn't be surprised if that was to increase with the introduction of their ZXi range. If you're looking for a forgiving choice here, then the Max is what you'll want.
As you'll see, this is a beautiful looking driver that is certainly a change from the way Srixon drivers used to look. The Max is a new offering from Srixon and it is the highest MOI from the brand yet. While other models in this range have adjustable weights, the Max has one that sits low and in the rear, allowing for the highest forgiveness possible. Also in this every driver in this range is the i-Flex design, which helps to create a thin face in the centre and to boost ball speeds. It's also worth noting that this shape is the same as the other two in the ZXi range, so if you want forgiveness in a smaller package, this is for you.
All in all, a driver that looks great and performs very well. While there are slightly more forgiving options out there, this certainly should not be discounted.

PROS
- Another high MOI design from TaylorMade
- The red and blue faces are a thing of the past, which will be appealing to some
- New carbon fibre design helps to save weight to improve performance, helping you hit more fairways
- A matte carbon crown that reduces glare and looks great
CONS
- The core model is also extremely forgiving and might suit some players better
A brand-new look for TaylorMade this year in the form of the Qi35 driver range. If it's forgiveness you're looking for in this range then you'll want to look to the Max model, which is the highest MOI that TaylorMade offers.
This is a 10K MOI driver, which means that there's impressive levels of forgiveness in the head. When it comes to performing on mishits, the Qi35 Max is very stable and will more often than not have your ball heading the right direction down the fairway. Compared to last year's equivalent model, you're going to see improved spin rates here, to the tune of around 200rpm less. For a lot of golfers, this is going to be beneficial when it comes to gaining distance off the tee box.
This driver does exactly what a 10K MOI model should. It's easy to launch, stable and still moves nicely through the air. It still performs well when it comes to distance too, which is a bonus.

PROS
- PMP material crown saves weight to allow for better distribution of mass
- More aerodynamic shaping for faster swing speeds
- Large footprint inspires confidence
CONS
- There are drivers that are more specifically aimed at being forgiving
The GT range might be from 2024, but it's still very much an impressive option for those looking to upgrade the top end of their bag. If you're looking for the perfect blend of speed and lots of forgiveness, look to the GT2 option.
This is a driver that is long from front to back, with groundbreaking technologies designed to help you hit it further and straighter. We've seen some of the best players in the world with this player in the bag, so it can certainly perform well, but one of the main reasons they like this is the stability that it provides. That largely comes from Titleist's Seamless Thermoform Crown, made with an ultra-lightweight Proprietary Matrix Polymer which helps to save weight in the clubhead. Titleist engineers have used split mass construction to increase speed and forgiveness in this driver. Weight at the front improves ball speed, while weight at the back increases MOI.
No matter what you're looking for, the Titleist GT2 driver will perform very well. It produces some of the best in class ball speed, while also delivering great levels of forgiveness on off-centre hits.

PROS
- A huge upgrade in looks and feel from Wilson for 2025
- A shape that is made with stability in mind to get you hitting more fairways
- Rear weight can be flipped to guard against the shot you don't like to see
- AI-driven PKR-360 technology is specific to each model to get the best for you
CONS
- New technology comes with a new price point, but it's still great value
- Might not see as much of a gain from the Carbon model, which is five stars
The 2024 Dynapower range felt like an important launch for Wilson, but their 2025 line is even more significant. A huge upgrade in looks makes these serious contenders for those looking to upgrade the top of the bag. If you want max forgiveness, look to the Dynapwr Max.
The new Wilson Dynapwr range is certainly an impressive one. With three driver heads available, there is something for everyone and if it's forgiveness you crave then look to the Max model. In this club, you'll find the AI-Driven PKR-360 technology, which helps to straighten out shots in each model, with a different design in each one. The Max features the largest and most user friendly and confidence inspiring footprint behind the ball, which helps to give you the best chance at hitting fairways. There's also improved sound and feel from this model compared to the 2024 offering.
This is Wilson's first maximum forgiveness style driver, but it packs an impressive punch. In fact, the whole range is great, and that showed in our Big Drivers Test of 2025. Want to see how it got on? Click here...
