Although the young American had a season to remember on the greens, the rest of his game wasn’t quite up to scratch, ranking a lowly 173rd in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green.
He eventually finished the season ranked 145th in the FedEx Cup rankings and lost his tour card. There was, however, a more upbeat ending to the 24-year-old’s 2019 season as he regained his PGA Tour status following a top 10 finish at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship.
